Pray for Derrick in Wales
Please pray for Derrick in Wales. He has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Pray for God's strength, healing, presence, and grace to be with him in a very tangible way in his life. -from Sarah Flay

Day of Prayer in London - January 10
Saturday, 10 January 2009 is a good day for our Day of Prayer for Western Europe.
London is the city this year. The first year it was Amsterdam, last year it was Brussels…so we cross over the channel for 2009!
London is the city this year. The first year it was Amsterdam, last year it was Brussels…so we cross over the channel for 2009!
Who should come: EVERYBODY!!!
All missionaries should participate. Then bring as many leaders with you and anyone else that still has breath. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!”
We will follow a similar format as we did last year, but with a full band. Worship and prayers will begin at 10 a.m. and finish with a meal and fellowship together at 5 p.m.
The purpose of our gathering is to set the tone for our year with praise, worship and a sustained time of seeking the Lord for His favour and blessings. This will include:
- Corporate worship
- Prayers of thanksgiving
- Repentance for personal and national sins
- Intercession for specific people and churches and ministry-projects
- Prayer for one another
- Prayer for people groups within our borders
- Pleas for God’s mercy on our cities and nations
- Seeking God’s direction for growth and strength of our ministries
- Ample time for the Holy Spirit to speak through prophecy and other word gifts
- Conclude with a celebration of praise to the Lord for His goodness.
The venue will be a church in Leytonstone, which is in East London and on the Central Line Underground station by the same name.
Travel options:
Ø Driving… it’s only about 5 hours from Amsterdam depending on the traffic in Holland. For those using a GPS it’s 139 Ashville Road, London E11 4DX
Ø Train… the Eurostar is the fastest=2 0easiest way, and then connections all the way to Leytonstone are readily available.
Ø Airplane… the closest Airport to our side of London is London City Airport. Next is Stansted Airport. Otherwise it’s best to fly into Heathrow as the underground train runs from there.
(Matt Helland says he has a flight from Schipol to Stansted for less than 80 euros.)
Anyone wanting to stay over until Sunday are welcome in some of the local churches.
Lo dging that we are aware of is around £60 per room per night in nearby Snaresbrook. Only 25 minutes walk or one train stop. Two can stay in each room.
Depending on how many come in a group we may be able to put some in private homes. Missionaries get first dibs on homes, and it will be first ask, first get till the rooms run out!
Help promote this. We will have plenty of space for an awesome day of prayer and worship and fellowship. I'm getting pumped about it while just writing this email.
Let me know how many you are bringing.
- H.P.
